We have some new results in Java Flight and Ultra Light Space Comms.
The far more concrete is Alex's work on prototyping and reviewing techniques in video and radio subsystems. Begun last year and proposed for continuation this year, Embedded Video Processing and Radio Unit (VPRU) is "a small, high performance single board computer for capturing and transmission of high definition video and for providing a simple TM/TC interface for the system it is built into".
It's very exciting to see this important work being done. Alex will establish an electrical architecture for comms with video and transponding capabilities for tracking and ranging.
Largely provoked by the familiar sight of a system electrical schematic, I had written some thoughts on autonomy into Java Flight that, with a little help from my friends, have developed into a complete "knowledge framework" for future work on flight control software.
